FAIR HOUSING INFORMATION
Fair housing is a federally mandated right that prohibits discrimination in housing choice. The City of El Paso coordinates the Fair Housing Task Force functions and provides information to residents of El Paso to ensure they know their rights are protected from housing discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability and familial status.
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development defines the Fair Housing Act and provides additional information that includes examples of housing discrimination.
