Investing in our roadways
The City of El Paso repairs, sustains and extends the life of its comprehensive transportation network with various pavement restoration and preservation methods.
One its best practices is street resurfacing. Layering streets with new asphalt improves safety and provides for a smoother riding surface. Over the next two years the City will repave badly damaged segments of some of the most heavily traveled streets and approximately 200 residential roadways. Construction schedules may be modified due to unforeseen events or weather.
Resurfacing projects are funded through the 2012 Street Capital Improvement Program.
