The Human Resources Department provides policy direction on management issues and administrative support to city departments. The department develops, implements and manages the recruitment and selection of permanent and temporary city employees. This includes the city's job classification and compensation system, promotional and entry examinations, training programs and career development through a tuition assistance program for city employees, personnel records, and Civil Service Commission inquires and appeals, and risk management services.
