Municipal Court Bond Office Locations will be closed Friday, July 16 from 11 am to 1 pm for a staff department training. 810 E. Overland will remain open.

Due to safety concerns relating to the COVID-19 pandemic, the court encourages everyone to attend hearings virtually. Residents scheduled for court may email their Full Name, Date of Birth, Citation Number, and Telephone Number to VideoHearingRequest@elpasotexas.gov at least one (1) business day before the scheduled hearing to receive the hearing link.

Residents who do not have the technology or have an impairment preventing them from attending a virtual or in-person hearing, must contact the court at least one (1) business day before their scheduled hearing for alternative options.

 In-person Services

The court encourages only the Defendant appear to resolve their violation(s). Juveniles and people with disabilities can be accompanied by a legal guardian or caregiver.

Face coverings are required for entry into Court facilities. Temperature checks will be conducted at both 810 E. Overland and 9600 Dyer before entry into the El Paso Municipal Courthouses.

If you have any COVID-19 symptoms please call (915) 212-0215 to speak with a court representative for alternative options regarding your citation.

Payments can be made in-person, online, by mail, by phone at (915) 212-0232 or by drop box at all Court locations.

The El Paso Municipal Court is a court of record which handles Class C misdemeanors and civil parking citations issued within the city limits. The El Paso Municipal Court of Appeals hears appeals filed from the El Paso Municipal Courts.



The judges and staff of El Paso Municipal Court recognize that for most people their impression of the justice system is derived from their experience in municipal courts. We hold ourselves responsible, and are held responsible by the citizens of El Paso, for treating the thousands of people who appear before the Court each year with dignity, impartiality, equity, courtesy and efficiency.
