WGU Texas

WGU Texas is an accredited, nonprofit, competency-based, 100% online university established to expand access to higher education throughout the state.
WGU Texas offers more than 30 grants and scholarships, including the $2500 Military Appreciation Scholarship, open to active-duty military personnel, veterans, and their spouses. WGU Texas offers part-time program options for service members utilizing tuition assistance, all education benefits under the GI Bill, and online degree programs that are approved for education benefits administered by the Department of Veterans Affairs and that also qualify for the Military Tuition Assistance (TA) program..

Off Base Transition Training (OBTT)

The Off-Base Transition Training (OBTT) pilot program is an extension of the Department of Labor’s Transition Assistance Program (TAP) for veterans, veterans currently serving in the National Guard and Reserve, and their spouses to take control of their career through workshops to help meet their employment goals. OBTT provides employment preparation, education and opportunities that allow attendees to maximize their career potential.
